DOMINIQUE NICOLE

Actress
Producer
Creative Director

Dominique Nicole and I have become good friends. Although she is multi-faceted, gifted, and skilled in many areas, her passion for Acting is profoundly unwavering. Recently, I asked Dominique these 2 questions:

You’re good at many things. Why is being an Actress your main passion?

Acting is my way of studying humanity. I was drawn to this form of art out of a deep desire to understand human behavior. Acting creates a space of vulnerability where I am free to explore all emotions. This is a place where curiosity, presence, and storytelling intersect. It is both an art form and a form of living life through different perspectives.

As an actress, I am most compelled to portray women who are powerful yet grounded, whose strength is expressed through presence. I am drawn to complexity, to decisiveness, to women who are fully anchored in their authenticity. Their power is internal, intentional, and quietly commanding.

I asked if you could play the lead in biopics for 3 historic women, who would they be? You said Diana Ross, Angela Bassett, and Josephine Baker. Why?

Josephine Baker profoundly inspires me because she embodied freedom, courage, and reinvention. She used performance not only as expression, but as a pathway to choose to live beyond imposed expectations.

I love Diana Ross. She represents eloquence at its highest form. Her discipline, gravitas, and intentionality reshaped what power and femininity looks like. Even now, 2026, she continues to navigate identity with quiet authority, creating a legacy that continues to guide us as artists.

Angela Basset embodies strength with integrity and depth. Her body of work is emotionally disciplined and profoundly truthful. I am drawn to that level of precision and honesty. I would be honored to portray Angela Basset in a biographical role.

What where your thoughts during the photoshoot by the new BVLGARI store on Rodeo Drive?

I was thinking power, courage, strength, and resilience.

Your poses by the beautiful CHANEL store on Rodeo Drive were both unique and very interesting. What were your thoughts during that photoshoot?

There is a quiet power in stillness.

Your work is amazing. What do you love most about Acting?

I love creating art that reflects presence, depth, and intention.

2026 CLIVE DAVIS PRE-GRAMMY GALA

Talking about Legacy, I saw that photographer, Corinthian Kelly, took beautiful photos of you at the Clive Davies Pre-Grammy Gala in Beverly Hills.

What are your thoughts on legacy as you have mingled with people who’ve built a legacy in American culture, people like Babyface (music), Gayle King (media), and Van Jones (news & politics)?

Different paths, one truth. Legacy is alignment lived with excellence, influence that outlasts the moment, and impact that remains in its essence for generations to come. The truth is that what God authors, time cannot erase.

Babyface’s legacy has shaped generations of harmony and sound. As an icon with quiet mastery, Babyface has made timeless contributions to musicians and entertainers globally.
Gayle King’s legacy leads with integrity, calm authority, and truth. Her presence elevates every conversation she enters.
Van Jones’ legacy brings faith, justice, and humanity into hard spaces.
