Below is an excerpt of conversation between Rogee Rogers (our Editor) with Jocelyn Elizabeth (Star), Jacob Meir (Designer), and Corinthian Kelly (Photographer):
Jocelyn, what was it like for you, being dressed, photographed, and admired by the world, in a JACOB MEIR dress at the Golden Globes, here in Beverly Hills?
I think, for me, it was more special than the average woman. 12 years ago, I worked with/for Jacob Meir at his shop in Hollywood. So, Jacob is more than a friend, he is a mentor in the fashion world for me. Every single time I have put on a JACOB MEIR gown, I left like Cinderella; and the 2026 Golden Globes was just that -- a Cinderella moment. At home, it was my 5 babies yelling “MOM,” and at the Golden Globes, it was everyone yelling “JOCELYN.” It was an experience I will use to continuously remind myself that anything is possible with God.
Jacob Meir is an acquaintance of mine. I called Jacob to ask him about this dress. Here’s a paraphrase of what he told me.
That dress was a design of positivity for the people of Ukraine. It’s part of a Floral Collection which I unveiled at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival at a fundraiser for Ukraine with Sharon Stone and Al Pacino.
Corinthian, you took the photo of Jocelyn Elizabeth and Ethan Hawke, the actor, at the 2026 Golden Globes. Tell me more about your experience.
I love this JACOB MEIR dress. Jocelyn Elizabeth did a fantastic job with her size in it, just her great enthusiastic attitude. No one else could have worn that dress better than she did. When I saw her, I had to ask, “Who made this dress?” This dress was fantastic for her.
Cosmopolitan’s “Best Dressed” at the Golden Globes has Jocelyn Elizabeth at number 4.
